a decision has been made

After much prayer and deliberation we have come to a decision. I can not even begin to explain what a difficult decision this was. It came down to UCSC and FSU. UCSC would allow me to keep my AMAZING job but would be an hour commute for Graham each way and the program itself was not a perfect fit. FSU means that we would be moving to Tallahassee and I would have to find a job in a place where the job market for science is TINY but the department and economics community there are a perfect fit for what Graham wants to study. How do we decide these things and how can we predict what will be better for our family in the future? So we took a leap of faith and made a decision....

Yep, sometime in the summer we will be moving to Florida.
Things I'm not excited about....

Summer rain
Humidity
BUGS! Big BUGS!!

lack of delicious avocados
starting a new job hunt
no more snowboarding
hurricanes

Things I'm really excited about...

Warm weather almost all the time
Thunderstorms
Delicious citrus fruits especially lemons and grapefruits
Being slightly closer to our families
Knowing that Graham will be in a stimulating and fulfilling atmosphere which I believe will lead to greater success
Being MUCH closer to my grandparents who live close to Orlando
Hogwarts! (ok, so I'm not sure when we will actually get to go to Universal Studies and to the Harry Potter thing..whatever it's called..but when we do it's going to be awesome!)
No Earthquakes!!

ok, so I'm sure I could keep adding things to both lists but I've got to get going!

How do you guys feel about our decision???
