I'm actually pretty obsessed with her. I love her so much it is unbelievable! It makes me a little bit fearful about my (hopefully) future children. What will the love feel like then? I imagine it will be painful, in a heart bursting kind of way.
So this post is pretty much dedicated to her and the time we spent together at Christmas time. She had a pretty serious cold, but I couldn't help giving her tons of kisses, so unfortunately I too got a cold during our trip.
This post is proof that Graham does like children and he's good with them too!
Auntie Niki with Carra
This is the Christmas outfit my mom bought for her. One word. RIDICULOUS. But, she is still pretty stinkin' cute.
On to the videos! Sorry for my annoying voice!
Curiosity and Coos. I love all her little baby noises!
Laughs. I will go to incredible lengths to get her to smile and laugh.
Playing with Uncle Graham. More proof.
Rolling over!
There was another new addition to the Fontaine household this Christmas as well. My mom got a new puppy! She's a TOY apple head Chihuahua. She's practically a hamster.
She's also really stinkin' cute!
I was trying to give you a sense of size here. She is TINY.
And last but not least I was able to visit with my best friend from High School! We've been friends for 13 years! That's pretty crazy when you think of it. Unfortunately, she knows stuff about my past I would rather be left untold! However, she had other plans this Christmas. Thanks for embarrassing me Amanda :) I will be seeking revenge :)
Yup, better late than never. For all 3 of you that read this...sorry... The good news is that I've scheduled two more posts to come one week and two weeks later. So for three weeks I'll seem like a good blogger.
Remember how I told you I was going to post about Graham and I's Christmas present to each other?? (Yes, I know that was almost two months ago..) Well here it is.
We drove down the Pacific Coast Highway to San Luis Obispo for the weekend. Unfortunately it rained the whole way down and it was so overcast it was difficult to even see the ocean. Then we went to Hearst Castle for a tour...in the rain. It was a little bit miserable, but we persevered. This is me at the start of our tour in front of the Neptune Pool. Once a year the docent's get to invite guests and swim here for 2 hours!! It looked like a really fun place to have a pool party!
Graham and I aren't really antique loving people. So the inside of the Castle was less impressive to us. It was however decorated for Christmas which helped it feel warm and homey. Sorry..no flash photography allowed inside..so this is the best we have.
After the tour we headed into Downtown SLO for dinner at the SLO Brewery (yum!) and then to our hotel for some rest and relaxation. Our hotel room even had a gas fireplace which was a perfect way to get cozy and dry after being out in the rain all day!
It wasn't the grandest of trips or presents but since Graham had been in class all semester and not getting home until 10pm, it was really nice just getting to spend some quality time together.
