Bee sting

Graham is mildly allergic to bee stings. No life threatening reactions yet, just major swelling of the body part where the sting occurred. We hope that the reactions never get to the life threatening stage where we need to carry around an epi pen, but when do you carry those around? He hasn't needed one yet, but there is always a first time right? Anyways, he got stung on his ear at work on Friday working in the corn fields. He took some benadryl right away and there was no swelling so we thought he was in the clear and that his allergy had disappeared. However he woke up on Saturday to an ear looking like this:

(he got stung on the left ear if you can't tell...and I only say this because no one else seems to notice)

I think it's quite comical, but sadly it's really irritating to Graham and hurts. Hopefully no more bee stings in the near future.

WHOA! Glad he's ok and didn't go into shock. I wonder if eating some honey every day would make the reaction less severe? My co-worker said it helped his Mom with her pollen allergy. Anyway, we thought of you guys when we were watching the Red Sox play the Giants this past weekend-- looked chilly!!!

Have a great time on your trip with your family and spray Graham down with bug spray!!

Love,
Amanda
