A Wedding and a Haircut

I have decided that my desire to blog is really random. I have had way more important things to blog about in the past and haven't and now I am about to blog about something as trivial as a haircut. One of the more important things was my brother's wedding. It was SO beautiful it definitely deserves some photos...and I really should have blogged about the whole thing. However, I was so extremely frustrated after our horrible flight situation on the way back that for awhile that was the only thing that I could think about when asked how the wedding was. Two months later I have calmed down enough to remember the beautiful wedding.

Their wedding was on Thanksgiving Day and was a beautiful country side wedding. There was even a horse whinnying in the background..absolutely gorgeous wedding and I am so excited to officially be Sarah's sister-in-law (although I have unofficially been her SIL for some time now).

In other news, about the haircut. Most of you know my haircut philosophy and it's basically that I am cheap. I hate paying for "trims" they cost just as much as a new style (which around here is upwards of $40). I do not have $40 to spend every 6 weeks on a trim (ok, really I probably have it, it's just that I'd rather have that money for something else). A $40 haircut every 6 weeks is almost $350/year! All this to say that I usually get it styled then grow it out until I get really sick of it and pick at my split ends ALL THE TIME (which really aggravates my mother ...hmmm maybe I should have kept it long..just kiddin' mom). This time around I made it a really long time..due to the fact that my friend Liz in VA trimmed it back in July for me (FOR FREE!). After 21 months of no haircut I decided it was time. So without further ado....

BEFORE

AFTER

Graham says I shouldn't have smiled in the first one. Nobody smiles in "before" pictures..but I wanted you to be able to really compare..not like those infomercials. And I slept with my hair in a knot (basically) so the long hair is all pretty and wavy, which isn't normal at all. So I'm definitely liking the new "do". In two years we can try this all again!
