Santa Cruz

Well Graham and I decided to get out a bit and do some near by traveling of Northern California. First Stop, Santa Cruz. Now, I'm not sure why we decided on Santa Cruz in November, granted it has been quite warm for most of the month, but this weekend it was cold. Maybe it was because while Graham was researching the area he found this Wing place that looked delicious and he wanted to try it out.
The first thing we did his have a late breakfast at this biker bar called "Alice's". I had been there for lunch and it was really good so I wanted to take Graham there for breakfast. Plus, I had to scope out some of the local biker joints for when my parents come and visit that way they will realize that California is not all that different from Virginia and that you can find biker dives anywhere you go. Needless to say breakfast was delicious and well priced (and yes mom and dad, they have bloody mary's.....but we didn't try them). We also saw a fellow Hokie as we were leaving! Don't see too many of those around these parts...but you will see a few!

Alice's (I know you are seeing a few bicycles in this photo, but that's not really what I meant when I said "biker bar", I promise there are actual motorcycles behind me)

After that we drove down Santa Cruz on a Saturday afternoon and this place was like a ghost town. It was cloudy outside and there were very few cars or people around. However, since we were there we tried to make the best of it and walked on the boardwalk (which is more like a mini amusement park), played skeet ball, and went to the beach.

And yes, the wings were good.
