Grand Tetons/ Yellowstone Day 11 part 2 & Day 12

Sorry to keep you waiting on the rest of our trip...real life kicked in!

So we finally made it to the Sulfur Cauldron and the Mud Volcano where the acidity of the mud pots are twice that of battery acid and would turn your shoes to ash if you stepped in it (and I'm assuming your foot would be destroyed as well).

Sulfur Cauldron

At the very end of this short video you can see a little blurb of mud spit out

And another Buffalo making his entrance

This hot spot was fascinating to watch you just had to stand upwind of it because it was steamy and stinky!!

This one was called Dragon's Mouth because it looks and sounds like a dragon!

We ate lunch around Yellowstone Lake
So beautiful! It reminds me of Lake Tahoe

The four of us at the grand canyon of yellowstone

Yup, after four years of marriage I'm still madly in love with this guy!

That evening we enjoyed a nice dinner in (Graham and I cooked chicken and vegetables) and played some more games.

The next day was a little crazier. We ended up leaving the house 30 minutes late which had me stressed out because I wanted to be at the airport earlier than normal because of the whole driver's license deal. We dropped Bill and Melinda off in Jackson so they could catch their flight back home and we proceeded on to Salt Lake City, Utah. Our GPS took us a different way than it had done previously which took us even longer to get to the airport, so we didn't have time to eat lunch OR dinner (not that it really hurt us, we've had more than enough to eat the rest of the vacation). To top off our stressful return we decided not to get gas at the 2nd to last exit before the airport because we thought there would be a gas station closer to the airport, but of course there wasn't so we had to back track to get gas. We get to the airport 1 hour and 15 minutes before departure, drop off the rental car and get as quickly as we can to the counter to drop off our luggage in which they ask for our driver's license. I tell her I lost it and she asks if we have a police report, we don't, and she says just to go to security and tell them the same thing. So I was S-U-P-E-R nervous and kind of shaky going up to security, but it ended up being no big deal. I had to show them other forms of identity where I pulled out my Stanford ID, my Costco Card, and a credit card and then they let me through. We even had time to get a bite to eat before our plane boarded.

In a little bit of a Driver's License update I had to get a replacement ID. I guess they never did find my license in Wyoming. I got to the DMV 5 minutes before they opened and the line was wrapped half way around the building! Other than the wait, it wasn't bad at all.

...I hoping my next blogging material will be about my niece!! Her due date is in 12 days which means any day now!!!!
